7 or so years after I first saw Nausicaa, I finally really enjoyed the film and can relate to the main character.

*goes back to storyboarding*
(pst, most (all?) the Disney releases of Ghibli's work have the full film in storyboard form for you to watch. Just in case you didn't already know. It's wonderful.)

Have you ever read the manga? I enjoyed the books sooooo much more. Much more complex. Much bigger story. Don't get me wrong, I really like the movie but it's kinda dated and I, personally, have trouble getting entirely around that in order to fully enjoy the film. I wish the music were different; the music really hurts the flick in my opinion.

But I really, really love the sequence when she bursts into the room to find her father slain and then proceeds to go into super-hella-bezerker mode. :) That part is RAD!

Speaking of Miyazaki, is it just me, or does Howl's Moving Castle remind you a lot of Spirited Away?? Like seriously, the blonde "Haku" clones and certain scenes/events... lol
