hey guys, I know some of you have bought wigs of ebay before, I'm looking for a big long orange wig. suggestions?

I usually buy from wowwigs.com but I would like to get the cheapest wig possible that doesn't look crappy.

so, any sellers on ebay that you like, or online sellers that you like as well, I'm open to suggestions. ^_^

actually that's the place I got my extensions for Shiva. ^_^ I plan to get the extensions I need for this wig from them, but I need a base wig to start from. ^_^

If I were you I'd just traipse on in to the local wig shop.

Trying them on makes a huge difference. And sometimes you get nice deals.

That's the only way I've ever bought wigs...not to mention that it's culturally intriguing because I have yet to go to a wig shop and not notice that the owners are Asian. Very interesting.

so often they're expensive in the hollywood area though,... but I'll probably go down there later this week if I don't find something super cheap online. ^_^

I've bought a few things from hairmenow....very polite, pretty good products! I did a quick search in the store, but her orange wigs are pretty short, but at least not clown ones. If you asked, she'd look though, i'm sure. =^-^=

I order quite often from witchwigs.com, but I can't say they're terribly cheap, depending on what you're looking for. Great quality, though.

I KEEP forgetting to ask you this ('cause I'm dumb), but since I remembered now... ^_^

When you dressed up as Shiva, what type of make-up did you use? Was it hard to apply? Did it smudge on things?
I've never coated myself with paint before (^_^), so I'd like to do it right the first time!

I used Aqua paint from Cinema Secrets, but they don't carry it on their website. I've also used Ben Nye. I didn't have much trouble with the Aqua stuff, (ie rubbing off on things) but that's always something to be concerned about.

I don't know if by "big" you mean poofy or just long, but http://amphigory.com has a good selection of 42 inch wigs for $45, which is the cheapest I've ever seen a wig of that length.

For E-bay, don't use XXXotica. Slow shipping, slow/no e-mail. However, the wig was cheap; that's something. It better damn well get here before September 20. *rage*

I loooove her wig! I emailed her asking her for a few tips, but I havent heard back from her. I don't blame her though, I mean, it's her business!

I'd be tempted possibly to buy other wigs from her as well because other than wrapping foam, I'm not great at styling wigs. so I think I could do Millenia, but I love a ton of the other stuff she's done too (like the whispy ones!)

What kind of wig are you looking for? I mean, when you say big and long, is that frizzy and long? I know someone who can make you a wig that is orange and has long straight hair. But you'll have to tell me what type of style you're looking for so that I can ask... *_* And then I'll get back to you on the cost.

I'll probably be able to take a pic of the orange at the end of the week when I receive my wigs for Razkil--one of them is the orange colour.
