Last weekend (and this one) I had to work, but I wanted to take a break and wear my new Strawberry Headdress and I wanted to see Huntington's rose garden. I'm really into roses and gardening lately, so I wanted to see their varieties. Usually plants that do well there, would do well where I am, too. So last Sunday I went to Huntington (these photos are from then). I want to go again ASAP.
This is me in some of the mixed beds near the Shakespeare garden. There were a ton of irises in bloom. I want to go back and spend more time with them and see what companion plants they have.

Huntington's rose garden is arranged based by rose class. They have a whole section of Hybrid Teas, another of modern English roses and another of antique old roses. (so a section of noisette, old tea, bourbon, moss... etc.)

not sure which Bourbon this is? Possibly 'Pierre de St.-Cyr'

This is my favorite chair in the camellia garden (that giant bush-tree behind me is a camellia!)
