Elves and Creepers

Earlier this week the Santa House was completed at Glendale Americana.
SANTA'S COMING!! I KNOW HIM!

I SAW AN ELF!

Random weird Japanese candy. (yankee candy? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE.)

So I had to take Edward Cullen home with me for my Twilight party today,... and on the way home I went by Trader Joe's to get some red drinks and food and stuff...
Two of the cashiers who were helping me were total twihards. It was kinda adorable actually. The GUY cashier had been to Forks and LaPush. The female cashier apparently "likes all vampire movies, even the ones that suck."
Getting WAY too much enjoyment out of a cardboard cutout, ya'll.

Youta is actually (appropriately?) scared of Edward Cullen. This photo doesn't show it well, but he makes himself as low to the ground as possible when passing Edward, or he stares at his face. It's hilarious.

Jelly Babies for watching Waters of Mars.

Date: 2009-11-21 07:50 pm (UTC)I had this plastic viking helmet I got at a museum viking exhibit and my previous cat did NOT like that helmet! I'd put it on and he would stare at it and get really freaked out. It was weird!
Nice Elf reference too. :-)

Date: 2009-11-22 11:25 am (UTC)I put on a wig, and my dogs don't freak. Growing up in our cosplayer household, they are used to random hairstyle changes, and apparently colors (or light and dark hair shades) don't seem to matter to them.
However: I put on a HAT they aren't used to seeing, and they behave as if I'm a new person, until I speak up and reassure them it's just me. :p
I've worn my "newsboy"-style caps enough by now that they are used to them. But, if I try another style for a cosplay or something, they get "up in arms" (paws?) or whatever until they add it to their "mental database" of "Mommy's looks"....
