sure, I'd love to, but the amount of time required to make a short film is huge compared to the amount required to do a single art, or a comic, or a costume. It's unlikely that I'll do one anytime soon, although I have ideas for several.

ideally,... I'd need to have about 3 -5 months of not working, and not having any other obligations to do one. (that would be if I'd already storyboarded it, etc...)
