Coffee Prince and Fall Fashion

AP's new Starry Night Theater seems to have a Puppet Circus-like border print...? But the color combinations seem garrish to me (in particular the pink colorway.) We'll see. All AP's stuff has been SO SHORT LATELY. (haha.. as has Forever21's...)

Speaking of garish... I really don't like Metamorphose's new plaid dress. Ugh... too many bright colors, too much going on. (Meta's plaid poodle skirt though is totally cute and I'm totally really going to make one. NO REALLY.) Biker Jacket plus starry skirt is pretty A++, too.


Crystal and I went to F21 yesterday and the store was filled with bright chunky plaids and bright garish florals. They can look cute if done right... but the whole new season just kinda turned me off. Too many colors forced together.

I'm also SO TIRED OF THE BOOB-BAG DRESSES.
DO NOT WANT. (It's too bad, too, cause last couple seasons f21 has had a lot of fun stuff... ruffled blouses, military jackets,... foofy skirts. There are still a few gems in there, but seeing all this new stuff just kinda makes me angry.)

Anthropologie seems to be getting in on the ugly plaid trend, too. (Mind. I like plaid. I do. When it's done in pretty fitted prairie dresses or Vivien Westwood-style. I don't like circa 90's grunge and I don't like bag-dresses)
The fitted corset bodice with the VW-esque bottom is AWESOME.

Innocent World's new jackets and coats are so awesome this year. this is gorgeous.... but I think this one is my favorite,... but I don't care for the back pleats (I'd prefer a scallop or a pleat more like this victorian jacket. (Also,... they do have an L size that SHOULD fit me... but what about the arms? my arms are really FLUFFY.) Maybe I should just try to make one. huh? It looks so nicely made, though,... dunno if I'm good enough to make something I'll be happy with.


Angelic Pretty has a pretty adorable new winter jacket, too. I could do without the pompoms as they limit the usage a bit, IMHO... but it's super cute. I like the skirt paired with it, too.


Did anyone notice the cute furry bear headdress BABY put up for Usakumya? I'm poor so I'm not going to buy it (I wanted pink anyway)... but it's super cute. Maybe I'll make one. (haha. I always say that.)

By the way, I did order the Friend Usakumya Judy JSK in mint. :) The more I look at it the more I like the mint, but you know... all the colors are adorable.

anyway, enjoyed watching up to ep 5 or so of Coffee Prince last night. (thanks to umister's rec) It's a K-drama about a coffee house, of course... but the main character is a girl who looks like a boy, so it's a bit Ouran High School Host Club and a bit Twelfth Night. Cute!
(I wish it was japanese though, because that helps me learning the language by bits.)


... also, I can't wait for Ponyo to come out on DVD.
(how stupid would it be if I cosplayed Ponyo's dad?)

Coffee Prince! :D

It does get a bit draggy towards the end. I believe they extended the episode order because of how popular it was, but it still remains one of my favorite dramas. It's quite unlike a LOT of other current, trendy dramas.

Can you even find subs of Coffee Prince? I used to follow it every week when it started and then there was nearly a year before I finished the last third of it, and it was nearly impossible to find episodes anywhere. This was over a year ago now so maybe things have changed (although I wouldn't know since I haven't actively looked up anything on Coffee Prince since I finished it).

I do know that Coffee Prince aired on Japanese TV, though I don't know if they would sub or dub it.

Yay, mint! Booooo, garish! (Seriously, what is UP with all those colors squashed together? And bag dresses = DO NOT WANT! Although I'm loving some of the legging-based looks this fall -- Kira and I have majorly SCORED when shopping lately!)
