These were harder to ink and color because I did them on Derek's sketchbook at comiccon... I normally color on regular copy paper (I like how well it bleeds)... so these were done on thicker "nicer" paper... it doesn't bleed as well, harder to color and see color variations while working. Oh, well. It worked out ok, but I won't do it again. Also I had to ink with Sakura Microns so that I could color on the same sheet. I HATE MICRONS. I love drawing in pencil, not ink... wah wah wah, you guys don't care. ha. :)
Thanks again for commissioning me guys! I'll probably do another batch once I'm a little less busy (not sure when that will be...)
all colors are with COPICS as usual.
This is a commission for Nikki. She asked for something inspiring possibly with the character Mai from my senior Calarts film (back in 2001). You can see more info about my film and watch it here: http://aimeemajor.com/magic.html

for Robin of her Maiko character. She specified that she wanted autumn-y warm colors and that the character has white hair, a slightly multi-ethnic face and a kinda grumpy expression. (The kanzashi are October more senior Maiko specific, if you're curious. The kimono and obi are kindof made up based on seasonal cues.)

for Meiki, cute drawing of herself sewing while dressed in her favorite lolita dress.

More completed commissions later! I'm tired of coloring! ha...
