I want to play some old SNES emulators on the laptop,... but how do you play them? do I need to get some kind of plugin or wireless video-game-type controller? Suggestions?
(this really is a not-veiled attempt to get Mitch to play Chrono Trigger)

While you don't absolutely NEED to get a controller, it'd probably feel very weird playing some of these games on keyboard, so a controller would be good. That said, you can find inexpensive USB controllers pretty much anywhere, and adapters to adapt console controllers to computers. The SNES used a fairly lightweight controller, so pretty much any decent 8 button controller should work. I use these godawful ugly things I got on Woot one time. But they were cheap ($14 for a pair after shipping) and they have this neat USB powered fan thing built in to keep my hands cool. :P
