So, I've been looking for something kinda-orientalism-esque to make a Robe à l’Anglaise out of. I want to do a contrasting quilted petticoat.

I saw this one, and oh-my-god, cute print and it's PIIIINK. (and a handprint silk) But is it too bright? Someone told me that it's even brighter in person... I kinda like it bright? but are people going to be like "oh, god, my eyes!" ?

actually, now that I look at it, it's probably the same print in a different colorway as Vivcore's lovely dress.

advice please! I need to decide today. Someone said I could go to Em-Be's in the fabric district and take some pictures of what I'm looking for (to try to find a silk taffeta in the style I want.) but I haven't tried yet. I haven't found any that I like really, yet.

It IS bright, and some people are probably going to say "my eyes, my eyes !" buuuuuuut... it's pretty ! I'd definitely would make the dress out of this, but I'm evil :D
I think it wouldn't be so shockingly pink as long as you don't make the quilted petticoat in say... hot barbie pink.

I like it. And if the print is indeed that large, I think it should be fine.

It's really pretty, and if it is that bright, you can always tea-dye it and take some of the brightness out.. I say go for it! :)

I think if you're careful picking more sedate colors for the rest it might be ok?

I think it will be fine, especially if matched with a color that will calm it down, like a nice cream. I'd make sure a solid color was dominant, like in Vivcore's. Otherwise though, I'd say go for it. X3

I love that print! If it's brighter than I'm seeing here it might be "OMG MY EYES," but I think you should go for it.

I love that so much - go for it! If the other fabrics aren't high contrast or bright I think it'll be awesome.

I dont think any of it is to bright. Yes the flowers "pop" but there supposed to do that. I also like the butterflies :3

I kind of love it!!! I'd say go for it, you wear lots of pink and you can totally carry it off . . . if you don't pair it with ivory or taupe, I could see a really dark green or black with it, for lots of contrast ^__^

Yup! I was tempted by the pink originally too! I always thought that one would look great with some contrasting brow fabric to match the branches.
