back from Fanime

am back from fanime!
had an absolutely fantastic time, even though I didn't really do that much! haha!

Part of my squee for this weekend was what I was wearing:
Cherry Ribbon sundress from BTSSB. love love

Lovely Complex with Cheryll -
which involved my own personal Otani in a yellow shopping cart, playing in fountains and lots and lots of making hideous faces. With the lovely Jason as our photographer. Love*Com is one of my favorite series, so it was really fabulous to do this. It's really adorable, if you haven't read/watched it, I recommend!

then later, Utena with AJ (Touga) and Judy (Anthy) with me as Saionji ... trying to be epic and kinky without laughing TOO much. Photographed by the longsuffering Oscar with stylings of Cheryll. XD We'd been meaning to do Utena for a long long long time.

I can't remember the last time I had a more fun set of photoshoots. so basically, great photographers, great friends, silly poses and costumes that mean a lot to me.

other part of the fun was how well our panels went. I had a lovely Japan Ai panel with a very sweet funny group (thank you for coming you guys!!! )
and then sat in on Lydia and Oscar's Posing for Cosplay panel. It was great! I felt invigorated to try and cosplay as Saionji later. I'm not very manly, it's hard for me to pose as guys. haha. :)

Then... AJ, Cheryll, Judy and I had cosplay construction panels, specifically (Im)possible structures and Resin/armor stuff. Both panels were packed... in fact, for the second panel, so many people showed up that there was a line down the hall and they had to turn people away! (crazy!) We really had a lot of fun in the panels though. People asked really good thought-provoking questions. :)

I'm glad you had fun at Fanime! I know you met a ton of people so you might not remember me but I was the silly artist at Artist Alley who squealed and totally spazzed out and took a photo with you... Even though I missed your panel, I'm SO glad I got to see you! That totally made my weekend! Thanks for being so nice and letting me harass you! ^_^

Sorry I missed you! We were so busy with the panels and kimono show (and my lack of sleep after my two days with the geisha Komomo) That I never once walked around all of Fanime.

I wish I'd had money to go to Fanime. Sounds like a great time.
I recently saw the Love*Com live action movie. Its really cute, although a massive summary of the whole series, but its fun to see actual people portraying the characters.

the movie wasn't that great, I thought! but it was ok! my hair didn't dye as red as I would have liked so I end up looking like something inbetween the live action and the anime. lol. :)
