Toile de Versailles
Jul. 1st, 2009 06:26 pmFrom pattern Newlook 6805 (w/ minor modifications to the pleats and straps)
The back ended up being a bit too big though, so I'll have to take it in later.
This is a reaction to me working on so many NONFRILLY costumes lately. Just wanted to make something simple and froufrou. The fabric is called "Toile de Versailles". All the fabric and lace was stuff I had sitting around. I used up some more of my rose lace from Okadaya for the skirt hem. I have just enough of the lace left to do one more dress or skirt I think. And then I'll just HAVE to go back to Tokyo, right? RIGHT? (ha)
I found someone to make my BFG. AM V. HAPPY. Mitch and I just watched The Stolen Earth (again) last night, actually.
I'll probably pop into AX tomorrow to get my badge and wander a bit. See you guys at the con!

Date: 2009-07-02 04:51 pm (UTC)I'm still deciding if I want to make a high waisted skirt or a JSK out of the fabric I got from you. And I have several other floral fabrics in my "stash" that need to become garments.
