I'll be putting up some random stuff for sale later today (gotta hit the gym first. ugh.)

Did I really start thinking about this story in 2003? Still haven't completed anything with it! Oh well, it's not like I haven't done other stuff in the meantime. It still pops up in my mind though and I'd still like to do the story. :) For some reason I thought about the main character again. He goes from being a boy to a young man in the story. His young face, determined, popped into my mind. And then I aged it. I look at my drawings in 03 for this and am embarrassed. ha. but that's a good thing, right? I like his determined face today.

Not sure what time period I want to set it in... Edo? Meiji? Taisho? Has to be a time when spirits like kitsune were still widely believed to be real, and a time when geisha were more mainstream.

Go gym! *poses*

*snicker*

That younger face looks like it's been with you for a while -- he's very clearly defined :)

I suppose Edo is a better period for kitsune and such, but I kinda like the odd mix of western and traditional styles you get to play with in Taisho. And if xxxHOlic can play with spirits in a modern timeline, then why not?

Mainstream geishas? I'm learning towards the Edo period, then.

I love those eyebrows. I realize now, years after marrying a mean with fierce eyebrows, that I sort of have a thing for intense-looking brows. Hee.

Gym for me too today. :)

Yeah, there's something whimsical about Taisho, isn't there?

(and XXXHolic is a great example.) Taisho, the fight of modern against ancient... that could work ok with something like this, ie that there's still that trace of the true belief in spirits, despite the moderization going on. Post-Taisho would be too modern to feel mythical, I think though.

I really like these faces, and I enjoyed the concept art on your website too. :3

But, if it's not too much trouble, can you tell me where I can read this story? I've tried searching for it on google, but nothing about it pops up.

Thankyou,
I haven't posted the story yet,... so no one can read it. It's an original story based on folklore.
