man, so have been getting progressively better about exercise this month. (YAY).Yesterday I did strength training and cardio at the gymn, and then came home and did at least 2 hours of dance practice(!) with Derek and Crisso (it's really fun!) We learned some Temptations moves ... and a couple that look a lot like Chris Tucker's moves in Rush Hour. lol. I need to rewatch Rush Hour now so I can do random Chris Tucker moves at any point in time. VERY IMPORTANT GOAL.

(do you see the Daily Planet bldg?)
target dress, anthro sweater, claire's scarf. (another variation with my cowboy boots on instead...) MAKEUP: Tried a bit of Twilight + Duchess + Snow Queen from LimeCrime today. Really like it! I didn't go very intense with it, though,... plus it's like impossible to take makeup photos in my bathroom. :)
Today, the LA Opera.... this time Mozart's The Magic Flute. I was really excited to see this one, I even recently rewatched Amadeus.
The design was by Gerald Scarfe. I'm always intrigued by his work,... but it's never quite my style. There's something a little too grotesque or sharp about it for me. That being said, mostly, I enjoyed the designs for this production. Some of the flat set choices were well... too flat, and came off looking 70's and cheap. But the other sets kinda made up for it. I liked the rouged cheeks on Tamino and his little red gloves. The Queen of the Night's hench-bitches were pretty awesome. They were a riot AND their costumes rocked. Very much the good part of Scarfe's work.
Felt it was a bit long (I found myself wishing that Sarastro was a silent part...) Sarastro's songs were lovely, but entirely boring. Papageno, however was SO completely CHARMING! When he first came on stage, I was a bit taken aback by his Big Bird-like outfit, but it really grew on me as the performance progressed and by the end, I really liked it. Especially when we get to see his adorably silly Papagena. His feather-hair was so bouncy, and I loved his simple but cheerful point of view. Pamina was really endearing, too. And really, in that role, she could have been boring, but she was totally sweet. My favorite besides Pagageno were the three boy spirits. They had voices like angels, cute goggles, white mozart-y wigs and pink(!) pants. AND WERE ADORABLE ALL THE TIME floating in their little gold bird boat.
