This is the almost-done color for one of my Swans pinups.
It doesn't have any line-work yet, so it looks a bit odd, but there's something fun about it before the lines define it. I'll have this finished, and it's companion piece (of her in the bath) done by Sunday.

I colored it while I was on dayquil, so it's kinda overly-colorful, huh? but I think I like it that way. I might tame down the greens a bit later, though. no, you can't see more than just her butt, sorry. XD

Have you seen Mamechiyo's recent kimono coordinates?. I love love love the shocking pink one and the hakama set, and the obidomes done as sweet-boxes....
These are some magazines I've picked up recently. Several of them are kimono style-books (all with super-cute graphic illustrations) and then there is Sew Beautiful (with ribbon embroidery this month!) and Cosmode (which has a tiny tiny photo of me in lolita in it this month!). LOL.

Lovely drawing, I love the colors and the softness of it as is!
And I wish books and magazines like that were sold near me!

That is seriously pretty. I love the "colorfulness" of it. Even though the colors are bright, its still soft and feminine. I think its beautiful just they way it is.

Ooo, ribbon embroidery! A few people I know are trying to figure out how to do that themselves. X D Those all sound like awesome magazines.

I pretty much stalk Mamechiyos blog. =3 lol That Hakama outfit is one of the prettiest looks I've seen in a while. I love the way they are taking pictures now.

BTW, have you seen the Clamp kimono book yet? It's pretty much awesome!

LOL As cool as everything else is in the photo, I got distracted by the cuteness of Youta. I'm trying to figure out if I'd want a big fluffy kitty to when I move since I seem to like the big fluffy black kitties like him and Meg's Orion.

yeah, isn't that hakama outfit great?
I wish I could find a hot pink kimono. *WHINE*
Yeay the Clamp kimono book is interesting! Honestly though, I think some of their designs in their manga for kimono (like XXXHoLic) are more interesting than what they included in the book. Also, it seems like they just kinda painted it on instead of using more traditional or lasting fabric techniques.
