Girls Drawing Girls/ Seychelles art shoe show at NORDSTOM at The Grove, LA
Friday Dec. 14th, 2007
Art Shoes event from 4-8pm
At the Grove in Los Angeles.
My shoes are cupcake shoes (click for pick)
I'm shooting to be there TONIGHT about 4-6 pm or so.

speaking of shoes... can anyone recommend mens and women's shoes that slipon easily and are super comfortable? (and don't cost a fortune...?) Mitch and I both need a pair for airport ease and for going in and out of temples in Japan.

and for something completely different, a slightly early birthday drawing for ashbet of her ABJD. :)

A local friend has been evangelizing boat shoes to us recently. I haven't quite tried them myself but I thought of them immediately for the features you listed. I think he got Sperry Topsiders.

Yeah, B has a pair of Topsiders boat shoes that are his favorites. Very easy on and off. I do suggest trying on the shoes with socks though, because from experience on long plane rides it gets really cold wearing slip-on shoes with no socks.

And lovely drawing! I know Andi will be tickled pink!

I will not lie, Birkenstocks are great slip-ons. But you need to be wearing fluffy socks, and get them one size smaller, so they cling to your feet well. I've loved my Birkenstocks to death and need to get new ones... XD

They don't have to be brand Birkenstocks, though. Any one with the same shape should be fine.

They're amazing, it's like walking around barefoot. Mmmm.

I have to admit, i like crocs for travelling, but they just aren't very stylish. ^_^;; (At least they have updated styles that look more like shoes though!)

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your NYC pictures! So beautiful! Also, I bought your book today and told anyone within earshot that they should buy it too. I got two other people to flip through it with me in Borders ^^

Hi Aimee!
Just incase you haven't found the shoes you're looking for yet, I HIGHLY recommend Born shoes! They're all slip-ons and made of leather. Cute designs, and like I said, super comfy to wear for long periods of time! they range from $50 to $100. Hope my 2 cents help!

I find the mary janes to be comfortable because you can always convert them to mules. They are also adjustable - you can make the over-strap "wider" by stretching it. (Just check the info card that comes with them or ask the sales person~ ^^)

I would suggest wearing socks with them though - I wore mine throughout my last trip to California and needed to really exfoliate and moisturize my cracked heels. ^_^;

Here's an article that ran locally about travel shoes: http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2006/Jun/16/il/FP606160316.html

I really like the Arcopedico line mentioned~ :D
