So, in the mail today, I got Vol 13 of You Are My Pet (Tramps Like Us), thinking that it was the final volume, because somewhere, they said that! But the NEXT ONE is the final volume. AKLAJSLKJLAKJ I don't know if I can wait that long! and then when it does come, the series will be over and I will CRY and then read it over from the beginning 3 times.

so of course I drew Sumire and Momo fanart today. These guys are hard for me to draw, she has unusual stylized facial construction (the artist does) but at the same time, she's really REALLY good at anatomy and feet and all. I don't think these really do her art justice, but OH WELL!

maybe try this? I dont know why it's not more popular. I think some people get turned off by the whole "pet" thing at first. but it's actually really sweet.

Basically, the main character, Sumire, is really tall (for a Japanese lady anyway) and is very successful, so most men are intimidated by her. She's actually pretty shy and has a hard time expressing herself. She accidentally finds this younger guy injured, and does something she normally would never do, she takes him in and heals his wounds.
then somehow, he becomes her pet, a replacement for the sweet dog she had as a child that always made her feel better.
So it's not a sexual pet thing in the way you normally think of with "an older rich lady and her "pet" boy"

the point is basically, that she feels really comfortable with this younger guy (who's a dancer btw, so the artist does these great scenes with him dancing too.) She doesnt want to admit that he's the right kind of guy for her, so she pans it off as "he's just my pet".

and lots of other stuff happens too. Obviously, I relate to the main character. :)
