It was fun meeting more members of the LA Kimono Club last night. Everyone is so nice and all the ladies had such elegant summer Ro kimonos! I helped with the English portion of the kimono fashion show and demonstrated yukata obi tying. I forgot to make a Tanabata wish though! (perhaps I should do ala Nana and stick a twig out my window and pretend it's bamboo.)
I have to go sew and/or work on my book now! Hope everyone has a lovely peaceful day!

Date: 2007-07-07 07:44 pm (UTC)I got my first kimono yesterday! My little sister brought it from Japan. It's a yukata, I think it's synthetic, but a lovely pink colour with flowers, and a matching hanhaba obi in cream.
Now I just need the accessories to arrive from kyotocollection! \o/
I love the colour of your sensei's kimono. :O
