Anime Expo
Jul. 2nd, 2007 10:18 amI'm totally tired. wow. But I had a lot of fun at AX this year. I basically had the experience that I was hoping for. I wore a couple costumes that I enjoy (Esther and my new maiko outfit... Also got to wear my new milke ange lolita and some yukatas) but I was very careful not to overdo it... so instead of cosplay insanity, I got to hang out and chat with people and have lovely dinners. Ya'll know who you are! :D I wish I could have been there on Friday or Monday too, but you know, that whole WORK thing gets in the way, huh?
MY BOOK PANELS ---
My panels went really well! If you were someone who attended, THANKYOU! I had a really great time! It was fun doing a signing/sketch session at Go! Comi's booth, too. Wendy Pini is really sweet too. :) (her new comic is going out through Go! Comi also)
MY POSTCARDS WERE SO SHINEY! :D Go! Comi did a really awesome job on them. They're full glossy and full color! And don't you love the logo on it? There will be some previews of my book up soon at the Go! Comi website. I'll let you know when I know more. :)
Overall I had a really great time at the convention. The goodtimes due to good people outweighed the badness (LongBeach walking logistics FAIL.) But yeay!
Some of my favorite stuff from the masquerade (Char and I watched)...
-- The audience obviously really wanted to be there. seeing them waving all their celphones in the dark was really adorable. :D
-- dancing banannas
-- FF11 boys doing the berries and cream dance
-- FF12 ULTIMA (WOW! SHE RULED!!!)
-- FF11 moogle... this moogle was without a doubt the CUTEST creature suit I've ever seen. Cutest Moogle EVER. Whoever made that has my devotion.
-- Annie dressing up as Light in a gold sequin suit. (aka Deathnote the Musical with a cancan dancing apple) BEST SKIT EVER. seriously. when they came out on stage (before they revealed the sparkly) I said to Char "This better be L in confetti dot, or I will RIOT" and amazingly, it WAS L in confetti dot! (and Light, and an apple and misamisa, etc..) I could have died.
-- Stripper Vash. XD
-- mognetcentral's neato kimono-like outfit from O-Kami (that was you, right? I broke my glasses so I couldn't quite tell)
there were some other really good ones too but I can't remember right now. gotta run to work!
Now to get it moving on Comic Con...! (OY OY!)
somehow this video is appropriate right after Anime Expo? :D
