I put up a couple of my student films on Youtube:

My Own Magic
Waterfall

I've finally got an idea for my next two films (or books, whichever format they end up being... ^_^...) so that's kinda fun. If I have time to do more drawings I'll post them, but they are still the Asagao basic idea and the Cinderella basic idea, I just have better foundation for them now.

and now for something completely different...

These are only skits, if you want to see >my full costume page (with more non-skit costumes) go here
AX 2001 --My first masquerade. Me as Naga and my friend Crisso as Lina Inverse --- we didn't know ANYTHING about masqs. We didn't even know you had to have prerecorded sound (we thought they'd give us a mic) I'm not even going to post it. blargh.

FANIME 2002 - My second masq! with Sionna and company! FFX Yuna was me

AX 2002 - walkon with Sionna and co... this time me as FFX Shiva.

I don't think the video for ORC is online (or is it?), but the next year, 2003 I did Baycon with Judy, and then met AJ for the first time! :) You could say that actually, I got to be friends with both AJ, Judy and Annie due to Lord of the Rings. So I'm very very grateful for that.
I was Arwen and Mitch was Aragorn.
BAYCON 2003 - BEST IN SHOW
SD COMICON 2003 - BEST IN SHOW

ANIME EXPO 2003 - WISH - I got to know my fellow group mates a lot better through these costumes. Regretably I had a heat gun accident which caused my wings to break (which is why our final correography is much more restrained... also we kinda waited till the last minute to think up our skit.)

2004,... ONE RIGHT NET OSCAR PARTY --- a new Arwen and Aragorn costume... I don't think I have video online of any of our performances at the party. It was fun though! :) Holding an oscar was an unexpected warm fuzzy memory. :)

ANIME OVERDOSE 2004 - SAKURA TAISEN (no video either) - this was us finally performing a Sakura Taisen song together! I was Sumire

COMICCON 2004 (no video) - BEST RECREATION - EASTERLINGS - I think this was our first appearance "officially" as HCC? LOTR Easterlings

FANIME 2005 - HCC ROSE OF VERSAILLES-Technical Achievement Award--- I was Marie... a very important costume to me, and I'm so glad we were able to do this. This costume cost more and took more time than anything I had done and probably will ever do. I did it with Judy, AJ, Char and Cheryll.

COMICCON 2005- Most Beautiful & Anime Pavillion Award - ROSE OF VERSAILLESdifferent skit with the same costumes. This time creepy. :)

PACIFIC MEDIA EXPO 2005 - ELISABETH - BEST IN SHOW PERFORMANCE - (no video?) This costume and skit was also very very important to me. I did it with Annie and Char.

FANIME 2006 - ROSE OF VERSAILLES OSCAR and ANDRE - Best in Show! - Another costume and skit that was hugely important to me. AJ and I did this together. I was Andre. Like the previous Elisabeth skit, I really felt like we were real takarazuka stars. I still get warm and fuzzy thinking about these two skits. :)

WORLDCON 2006 - TRINITY BLOOD - BEST IN SHOW ---- different video (with different angles) This was a really great experience. This was my first time doing resin casting on my own too. I was Esther. I'll be wearing Esther again at AX 07.

... I'd still like to compete at AX another time. The last time I competed there was in 2003. 4 whole years ago! It won't be this year though. :0

As to future cosplay stuff... I'd really like to focus on:
(a) stuff that emotionally is really important to me (ie all time favorite animes, etc...)
(b) learning some more advanced techniques.

I'll still be doing simpler hall cosplay type stuff though... I can't seem to ever resist doing them. Looking back on what I've previously done though... I really love Shiva, Marie, Der Tod and Andre though, so I think I'd like to do more along those lines. :) Those were my favorite experiences.
that and doing the Host Club. :)

Waterfall gives me goosebumps. The good kind though, like when you watch a classic disney animated film D: I love it to bits.

Er, Pygmalion and Galatea never works when I click on it, I would looooove to see it, are you going to maybe upload that onto youtube at all..?

sorry, for some reason the film on my site isn't working and I'm not sure where my backups of it are (galatea). Plus it's so old, I'm embarrassed enough posting these two. :)

Thanks so much for the sweet compliments, I really appreciate it.

The second movie isn't coming up for me. ;_; I remember seeing the first one a few years ago. I love it! You did such a great job. I love the girl's expressions and the little things...like how she stumbles up the slope as she runs away.

"My Own Magic" just went over big at Bungie. I was asked if I knew if you were interested in 3D animation. ;D

What's "bungie" ? :)

It might be that the video hasn't had time to "come through" on the second one yet. Try it later. If not I'll try to reupload it tonight.

It's a game company where my SO works (not as an animator but with the animators). They make this game called Halo which is, apparently, some big deal if you're a male between the ages of 18-25 or something. It's not my sort of game but I got to see some of the gameplay animation and a partially done cinematic for Halo 3 a couple days ago and it *looks* very pretty (despite it being about space marines and alien monsters).

Their website is here: http://www.bungie.net/

I will keep trying on the other video. I noticed I was having trouble accessing some other videos on YouTube so maybe they are just being slow today.

oh! I've totally heard of them, I thought you meant it was an anime festival or something. :) Halo IS huge. I've never played unfortunately due to lack of time (I hardly ever get to play games anymore)

as to 3d... I have done some, but I always end up going back to 2d. I'd rather do layout and boards than 3d animation, I guess... I miss drawing too much. I have great respect for 3d animation though, it's not like I don't "like" it. :)

I've always thought my own magic would be a great children's book (especially with your great marker illustrations).

that's a really good idea actually. :)

I'd have to redraw the images as I have since thrown away most of my originals, but it would be fun to "translate" to book. :)

I think it would look great, personally. The pacing of your film is PERFECT for a child's picture book.

My favorites personally are still the RoV and Elisabeth ones. I'm very grateful for those.
