bottles and shelves?
Feb. 6th, 2007 07:42 pmAnyone have any suggestions on where to find:
-- botannical gardens or butterfly gardens (other than descanso and huntington) near the LA area? Preferably Burbank/pasadena... but am willing to travel! would LOVE to find a "currently having pretty butterflies" garden.
-- JARS/BOTTLES --- neat at least somewhat transparent bottles and jars? (ie, like mason jars or jars with neat shapes). Could be clear, but some with color might be nice. Bottles would have to have a wide neck. So jars/vases are better...
-- really cute shelves? (think lolita/rococo)
I noticed that Target had some cute cheap shelves (some are pink even!) but I'm trying to weigh all my options before settling on anything. I may try the thrift store for jars.
I'd love to find some online places with really neat things though to get ideas! :)!
The reason for both of these, is to outfit the new garage-room,... which should be done really soon! It's going to be used for my art room, but also for sewing. I figured putting buttons and stuff in jars would be pretty AND useful.
and well, the reason for shelves is quite obvious.
I got some vinyl lace (I think they are placemats?) I'm planning on drapping them over some shelves. XD
ugh,... too much to do in such a short time, but thinking about pretty shelves is encouraging! Everything is "good news" right now, but I just have too much to do.

As for shelves, besides Target, don't forget to check out IKEA! They have tons of neat shelving and storage ideas!
