as to Chrono Trigger - I just bought the PS greatest hits version of CT, the one that comes with FFIV. It seems to work fine (the opening plays and everything) but when I say "NEW GAME" it says "there is no memory card". How can that be possible when I was just playing FF12 and the memory card worked fine.
any ideas? (I'm playing both on a PS2, but I was under the understanding that this particular PS game worked fine on a PS2) *stumped*

Mitch and I got a christmas tree! A really real one. first one in years due to being too busy, etc, etc. I'm SO HAPPY. Pictures later.

You'll need to have a PS1 memory card to save PS1 games on your PS2, if you didn't know that already. I did the exact same thing when I tried to play FF9 on my PS2 a few years ago.

SNES games play really poorly on a PS2, since they're not meant for it. I've tried FF6 and CT and they ran really slowly. You're probably best off just using an emulator.

I agree that it's easier to play it on an emulator. The loading time on the SNES games on the PS(2) is just ATROCIOUS.
