hams and skydoll and wacom

^--- new art! This week, Skydoll! and actually... *gasp* a computer colored image. :P
EDIT:
http://aimeemajor.com/images/temp2/photshop.jpg
so the look on the left, where the color gains in intensity with pressure, is what I was trying for. But I can only get that with the one preset 45 pixel brush. whenever I change the brush size, the settings change and I can't seem to reproduce them. I'm retarded.
WACOM TROUBLE --- I'm very frustrated though, ever since I've switched to my new mac, my wacom hasn't been acting right. The airbrush acts like the old paintbrush tool in photoshop, I can't get the subtle gradation I used to be able to get. I don't understand it really. *_* Does anyone know much about Wacoms and can help me out? This is part of the reason why I've greatly avoided doing any computer coloring for a long time. (that and I'm busy...).
wow... what pretty yukata, kimono and accessories...! ... I wish I wasn't so tall so that I could order one. *_* I don't have time to make myself a yukata right now either.
HAMINAL----
My friend, Crisso has designed an adorable little mascot, Haminal! ^_^ She's had stuffed animals made. She'll have a book out later too, but for now, look at the cuteness! (you can order one from her site.)

here's some photos of my personal Haminal, who I took to Huntington Gardens:

Date: 2006-07-26 05:36 am (UTC)I'm taking a total freaking shot in the dark here.
But when I got my PC it automatically detected the tablet, and it wasn't giving me any gradiations or any pressure sensitivity.
So, I had to actually uninstall it and download the driver from the site and tell it I wanted to install the driver manually.
Like I said PC and Mac is like apples and oranges, but I figured it was worth a shot.

here,... I think it may be a photoshop issue? maybe the newer versions of photoshop use the airbrush differently?? I'm using PS 7.0. I feel retarded. *_*
when I use one of the presets (shown on left) the tool works the way I want...
but when I choose another size brush from the brush pallette... it doesn't work that way anymore (there is no pressure sensitivity then for intensity of spray/color.) does this make sense?
I tried to make the settings on the second one (the right) the same as on the preset, but it still doesn't seem to work right.

but other than the preset, I can't figure out how to make the airbrush tool act that way *_*

Date: 2006-07-28 03:49 pm (UTC)The easiest way to change sizes on your current brush is to use the shortcut keys: ] for bigger and [ for smaller. You can also save each size in the palette by choosing "New Brush Preset" from the options menu.
Hope this helps! :)
