the SQUIRREL
Jul. 14th, 2006 05:15 pmI had some unexpected free time and so I went to Huntington. Despite the "do not feed the squirrel" signs, there are very very fat brave squirrels. There was this one that was not afraid of me at all! I followed him within a foot behind for a while... while he waddled along.
and then suddenly he stopped, stared at me, and flattened himself spread-eagle. and stared. I have no idea, but it made me laugh so hard!
Here he is!

I had lunch with Mitch, and then tonight we're going to go to one of our favorite restaurants. What a nice day! I also for the first time tried amanatto! (sugar-covered beans) WOW YUM! I'd had other kinds of weird sweet beans in Japan and loved them (but they were different and I didn't know what they were). I'm having fun finding out more about japanese sweets. I've been working more lately on my Japan book. I'd show you, but then I'd have to kill you! I hope all this work on it pays off!
