tripping, der tod and hoihoi-san

soooo pretty good day but I tripped on my birkenstocks on the cement steps of the parking garage and managed to make contact with every step on a different part of my body. In the final analysis, I had a bleeding neck, knee and foot. I don't think I'm really really badly injured, however cutting out things tonight (random loli sewing) and just plain STANDING UP was rather painful. Thankfully sweet husband played beck and call boy. I'm sure I'll be fine a bit, albeit with some bruises... *_* also, I broke my only twin needle so I cant' try out my badass pintuck sewing machine foot tonight.... nothing that some sake can't fix.

I watched HoiHoi-san anime... and OMG not only do her shoes squeak but the doll I won on auction is lifesize. XD~~~~~!!!

As for the photos, sorry. But I've noticed that if I post them all in a bunch, they don't get seen as much as when I post them a few at a time. Just how the image galleries are working.

I'm going through the photoshoots in order now so I should get to the HCC photos in a few days.

I had a quick question for you Aimee, how did you do the fancy twirls on your Marie Antoinette? Did you sew in the design or find the patches to sew them on. (And if so where?)

you can find some beaded and sequined appliques kinda like what is in your picture downtown in LA in the fabric district. in the case of my Marie dress, I wanted it to be as acurate to the actual embroidery as possible, so I paused the dvd, took screencaps of the embroidery, flattened them in photoshop, traced them out and gave them to my friend who used her programable embroidery machine to do them for me. I cut them out and sewed them on to the velvet and then beaded on top of that.
