Does anyone know of a shareware program for mac that allows you to record wav files through a mic?? help!

Have you tried Audacity? I haven't used it for recording, but it seems to be able to do it, and it's worked great for everything else I've had it do. (I mostly use it to convert OGGs to MP3s for iTunes... I hate OGGs, ugh.)

I use Sound Studio. It came with my Powerbook, and if you want i can email it to you.

It's really awesome, and you can edit the sound clips then.

"audio recorder" was such a simple basic thing that I didn't think it would work but sounded better than any other shareware I tried.
