speaking of 18th-century frippery, I finally found some toile-like navy/white fabric to make a dress kind of like this BTSSB Marie Antoinette dress. I've always loved that dress, but even though the measurements seem like they'd fit me... I'm guessing it would be too short. So I think it's a better idea for me to just make one to suit me. :) It should be fun! The underlying shape, btw is very similar to this Alice and the Pirates dress... so I'll save the muslin and do two! :D I really like that the fabric looks just a tad like Marie's initials.

BABY restocked my all-time favorite blouse, the Princess sleeve shirring blouse... AND now it comes in pink and black, too! This is one of their blouses that has a larger bust size, btw, even though it's not the "L" size.
Also, they just put up two new blouses in S, M and L size! If you look at their blouse page, you'll see them in the subsections according to size.

while I'm drooling over pretties,... I love this long Hymn dress! It's fun to see things go outside the strict length/shape rules of lolita. I also love the gold briar rose embroidery on this. Similarly beautiful is this BW embroiderd JSK on Innocent World and these cute carriage and chandelier skirts on eglsales. As soon as I get caught up, I'd really like to design some embroidery like this and do a skirt or something... maybe I'll draw out a briar rose design. ^_^ I also bought myself a bit of crystal drops and chain to make myself a a little chain accent like on this blouse. Yeay for relatively cheap crafty fun!

I'd ordered the BxB Ribbon heart jumper skirt a while back... I wanted to try a romantic gothic look kindof like these BPN looks. When my dress came... look what came with it! An anniversary pillow for BABY's Paris store! How cute! My first thought was that it was way cuter than any room of my condo, and that somehow, I should remedy that. ha. Maybe if we get lucky and move, I can have a rococo corner and put this pillow in it.
Also, it's kind of lovely that it's the PARIS' store 2nd anniversary! I can't wait till BABY opens their San Fransisco store. It will make things so much easier (worse? :) ) when I can try things on.
