onigiri, kimono tailoring
Feb. 3rd, 2007 05:29 pmI took my remaining karinui (half-basted kimonos) to Little Tokyo today to be completed. So that's very exciting. It will take some time for them to be completed, but after looking for so long for ones long enough for me, and able to find a few,... it's definitely worth the wait. The ones I took in are this furisode, this houmongi and this irotomesode. WHEE! :D
I also took this RO Butterfly summer kimono in to have it enlarged just a little bit. This will be perfect to wear to those hot conventions this summer while I'm manning the booth. :)
Tomorrow I might find out some good news! Keep your fingers crossed for me! :)
My first try at Onigiri (it's hello kitty shaped). I made them too salty, but other than that they were good! I used chicken flavored with some sauce I got at marukai (I forget the name) as the filling, which makes it westernized, so to speak, enough for mitch. (he's not a big fan of the fish.)
and then of course we have youta walking in the closet.
