Demona from Disney's Gargoyles.
I used to watch this show religiously when I was in highschool and it was probably my first "fandom". I was pretty active for like 8 years or so. ha. :) Mitch and I are rewatching some of the episodes a bit, so I did some fanart today. (I wanted to send a couple things to a convention, hence the need to do this sooner rather than later...)

Now I just need to finish up my outstanding commissions (sorry for the wait, guys! I should have realized I'd be this busy...) and finish my Vampire Hunter D costume (eek!).
I may have to take a break tomorrow though... I think I need to see the ocean.

for all the princesses out there. <3

(boy it was weird drawing this, I haven't drawn Disney's Beauty and the Beast in probably at least a decade... but this movie was why I got into animation. I'll color this later probably. I'm not in the mood right now. if you like, the sketch with red underdrawing)

It's kinda funny that I felt like drawing this today. Derek, Crisso and I had lunch on the Disney lot with Dan Povenmire. We'd worked with him on the pilot for his show "Phineas and Ferb". It's so cool to see one of the pilots not only go through, but do really well.

My book meeting got postponed, so I'll be cramming on more book work this weekend ... I'm going to try and get some coloring done. Bleh, it's so tiring! *_* Despite that, I'm going to try to do some relaxing this weekend. This month's been stressful.
and I'm sure before the weekend's out I'll show you my completed VHD left hand!

Please see previous post to tell me what to draw. ha.

Ollie Johnston died. I feel like an era has really passed. Him and Frank were definitely heroes to me. But I guess you could say they both had long, interesting, meaningful and hopefully happy lives.

so.... guess what I did? :D

I animated a scene from The Three Caballeros for Epcot's Mexican Pavillion (El Rio del Tiempo)! If you look at 02:41 (the one that says "the shows about to start"), my scene starts.

You can't see it too well, but tralalala I don't care! I can't wait to go to Epcot again and see it in person!

the old ride (with faded and boring footage) is so much better with these characters now, especially since those who worked on the footage were so careful to be true to the original 3 cab style. I'm a big geek about Disney and Epcot, so I'm sure you can imagine how grateful and excited I am to have worked on this. (UNCONTAINABLE!)
